Pablo and Pepe get so excited when they know they are going to pay the shop a visit that their tails nearly drop off from the constant wagging! They are always greeted with a cuddle and a treat – who can blame them! Top ‘N’ Tails is more than just a pet shop though. Over the years it has gone above and beyond to serve the people and pets of Braunton. During Covid Annette and Martin worked their socks off delivering food and making sure no pet was left hungry. When our elderly Chocolate Labrador was finding mobility a struggle, Martin was able to advise on the right supplements to help him have a much a better quality of life. He always asked about him and genuinely cared about all of his animal customers – such a kind man. Tragically, Martin passed away recently (we all miss him dreadfully) but Annette has stoically kept the shop running and has continued to provide an amazing service. Nothing is ever too much trouble and she has such a depth of knowledge when it comes to pet nutrition, knowing instinctively what would be the best option out of the minefield of food choices. They don’t just do food – there are so many toys, treats and beds, its a veritable doggy treasure trove! Don’t forget to support your local shop, just as they have always supported our village……🥰

We use this charming and perhaps a little traditional style pet supply store every time we are having a holiday break in the area, (the last seven years). Usually calling first as our dogs have special requirements. Always very good prices. Always very friendly and helpful. Easy to recommend them 🙂

The owners are genuinely really lovely and no request is too much for them. The lady has ordered in flavours of raw foods they don’t normally have in stock just for us and on occasion, the gentleman has kindly delivered it home for us when we were having to isolate.I suppose if you think of this place as a shop, it may not be what you’re used to. But if you consider it a stockroom, it’s absolutely great! The choice is really amazing and prices are fantastic! If one was to order from any pet store online, you wouldn’t judge the state of their stockroom because you simply wouldn’t see it. So I don’t understand the need for negativity here either.I wanted to put this review because we should be supporting local business and I really think people should give this place a chance! Yes it’s not like a boutique pet store experience like some may be accustomed to when they’re not down here on their holidays, but if you know what you want – chances are they stock it here! And for locals, it really is an important little shop with its own place in the community.

Thanks to the help, knowledge and advice from these guys, our 12 week old sharpei it thriving well, he has doubled his weight thanks to the raw feeding amount advice they gave me, always have my puppies food order ready for when I get there, I won’t go anywhere else, very friendly and willing to give any advice they can.

Our dogs have always love visiting this shop and it’s owners. They are really knowledgeable and friendly. The shop is a treasure trove for animal foods, toys, treats, collars etc etc. How they pack so much into a small space is amazing. Skye our lurcher loves popping in and trying her luck at stealing(borrowing for a few seconds) the pig ears 😄. We live in Hele and Tamworth but always use these guys 👍🏼👍🏼.

Came down on holiday down to devon with my partners 4 month old pup and we needed the nutriment brand dog food so found this pet shop, we came on the monday 17th july and braught two boxes and the gentleman said he would bring some more to the shop for us to collect of the wednesday, he went the extra mile to do that for us and it was there waiting for us when we got there, we chatted for a while and tbh couldn’t of met a better pet shop owners, there shop is full of all different brands of foods for most animals, i was amazed by how friendly they are and we will defonatly be using them when we visit devon in the future, highly recommended this store. 🙂
